The sinner’s prayer will not get you into Heaven. The path is narrow, and the world is constantly trying to pull you off that path, down into the ditches.
Talk to God daily. Read the Bible daily.
As your faith grows from a seed planted in fertile soil, others will know you by the fruit you bear.
As God refines you, purifying your spirit, you’ll find a peace that surpasses all understanding. You’ll still have troubles – maybe even more, for the devil comes at us when we are on the path. The devil comes through our weakest points, too: friends, family, finances…even our own parents. There’s no end to what the devil will do to bring you back down.
Jesus, though, promises that His burden is light.
Join a bible-believing church. Tell other people about Jesus Christ. Fellowship and surround yourself with other strong, bible-believing Christians.
Stop by Villa Rica Pawn – Dennis or any of the staff would be more than happy to talk to you about Jesus and what He’s done in their lives.
If you were to sum up the Bible in one verse, it would be this: John 3:16 – “For God so loved the earth that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but shall have eternal life.”
When people say, “If I walked in church, lightning would strike it,” sometimes it’s because they don’t believe. Sometimes it’s because they don’t feel worthy. Sometimes it’s because they’re mad – at God.
They’re is nothing that you have done that is above the name Jesus. Even being mad at God – God loves you and all others despite their anger.
Once you have the spark of faith, you’ll want more of God. You’ll feel the fire shut up in your bones. You’ll want to Praise Him.
When it appears as though the world is falling down around you, and you have a peaceful smile on your face, people will ask your secret. It’s no secret at all. It’s freely given, we simply have to accept it.
It is our prayer at Villa Rica Pawn that you feel that pull in your heart. We can’t convict you – only the Holy Spirit can do that. Be we love to talk about our Jesus, and how He can be your savior.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step – we pray that you take that step today.
